My road to Poochies

My name is Liz. I have always loved animals so much and wanted to work with them since I was a little girl. When I was about 17 years old, I saw a commercial on tv for Pedigree Career Institute in Lynn, MA. My family told me I should do something else that I would make more money in and so I went to college. Again I saw that commercial when I was about 19. This time my husband Andrew(boyfriend at the time), told me I should go for my dream, because it's what I want. So I did. I've been grooming ever since for over 30 years. I have met many great groomers along the way and have learned so much off of each and every one of them. You can never stop learning. I still do as well as help others.

My first salon was opened in Malden, MA in 1995. I closed in 2005 due to the fact I was young and overwhelmed without help to run this shop. I worked for a corporation for 5 years. After the birth of my 2nd child I decided to reopen Poochies in Saugus, MA which is still open and doing very well with a great crew that I love. 

My family and I moved up to New Hampshire which was another dream for many years, and in December, 2020 opened another Poochies which is this location. We love it here and are having so much fun meeting our new clients and making new friends. Thank you
